ABOUT US - Our History

Established in 2011, in September of that year, Mid Rogue Foundation was awarded a three-year grant of more than $770,000 through the USDA’s Rural Health Information Technology Network Development (RHITND) Program. These monies were given to the Foundation to help improve health care and support the adoption of Health Information Technology (HIT) in rural health networks. The Foundation was one of only 40 awardees across the country and the only one in the state of Oregon. The Foundation focused on the adoption of Electronic Health Records (EHR), Meaningful Use and the exchange of key clinical health information in Josephine and Curry counties.

Our Vision going Forward

Vision Statement
We envision improved quality, access and affordability to social and physical environments that promote good health.

Mission Statement
We promote healthy and vibrant communities through support, advocacy and partnerships with a focus on housing, education, transportation and the built environment.

After their past success of using Federal funds to help promote and effect the conversion to Electronic Health Records by medical providers in Josephine County, the revitalized Mid-Rogue Foundation rebranded themselves as AllCare Community Foundation (ACCF) and has a new focus and purpose.
Using the Social Determinants of Health (Housing, Education, Transportation and Environment) to guide program creation, they’ve researched and identified gaps in the county.
This has led them to establish a partnership with Josephine County and the State of Oregon in re-establishing a housing repair/rehabilitation program that will operate in the Urban Growth Boundary of Grants Pass, Cave Junction and throughout the entire county and is funded primarily by Community Development Block Grants.
ACCF has also facilitated and collaborated with local volunteers to pursue developing sanctioned encampments for homeless individuals, modeled after the successful programs in Medford developed by Rogue Retreat — currently in development as Foundry Village.
